I have been applied for jobs in the past 4 months. I have been to many interviews with outstanding organizations such as the Asia Fundation, the Funds for Global Human Rights, the Smithsonian Institution. two major universities (Offer Free Phd tuitions), and other great companies.
Sadly, I missed all those chances because I did not do well in the interviews compare to other candidates. I suppose I am still young, lack of experiences, and don't have great communication skills.
Looking back I am sad and depressed because those are dream come true jobs. Unfortunately, I missed it. It hurt to see someone took your dream jobs from you. How do I deal with this? What is wrong with me? T_TLooking back and feeling depressed? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
there's nothing wrong with you and please dont see this as a problem.
once i heard a quote but i cant remember how it was exactly... but it was something on an inventor who was trying to make his invention function and after 100times of trying he finally succeeded.
when people asked him about the 100 times he ';FAILED'; he simply answered that for him wasn't about failing, but were 100 ways of learning how it is not meant to work and from them he learnt the right way.
so what i want you to realise is that our mistakes arent there so we can say ';oh, why me?!'; no one is perfect... and we learn through our mistakes in EVERY situation we live.
doing interviews by time will increase in you the confidence you need. analyze your mistakes you are doing and work on them. relax during an interview, and make person believe what you want him to believe ;)
and remember - Fear is your own enemy!Looking back and feeling depressed? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
That sucks, but yeah you said it yourself, you're young. Don't get discouraged. These are all great jobs, but there are more out there. Work on your interviewing skills and go back out and keep trying, don't let these jobs get you down or you'll never find the one you WILL get.
Work on your skills, feel confident, and give it a new try. :)
One thing that I would advise is to just go out and about, travel. You'll learn all about yourself. By traveling you will also pickup knowledge as well as life experience. Secondly, don't worry, you're young, you'll eventually get that break. Unfortuately you'll just have to wait a little while.
';In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.';
90 % of success is showing up. Just keep going....
Hope please do not be upset, I know things are hard right now but keep your hopes up. I wish we were friends so I could talk to you and cheer you up life is so short try to be simple, thank god each morning when you wake up that you are on the planet another day because truley anything can happen and usualy does. As bad as our problems seem to us ';in the moment';, it's just that ';a moment in time'; and time changes all things. Ever watch a sun set, or the rain fall or a child laugh? beuty can be found all around you do not isolate yourself to one area of happyness. Many many times people have quit grate jobs because they were unhappy. Don't let this temporary problem get you down ok? smile Hope........
